Tom Wayland is one of these people and he'll be bringing in some never before seen/heard outtakes from a variety or the bizarre programming he's worked on over the years. Never rehearsed or scripted, the experience is unique each time and has been a favorite at anime cons for over 13 years.

Jan's storytelling has been showcased in The Narrators and RISK! podcasts as well.

Information on the process and art of translating manga and anime professionally. Some subjects covered are idioms, important changes that need to be made, how to deal with names and politeness levels, schedules, and rewrites.

How to Run A Party That Doesn't Suck ~ Jan Scott Frazier
You've been to plenty of bad parties and you want to run your own now but where to start? There's a lot more to it than putting out flyers and hoping things will go well. Jan Scott-Frazier discusses how to run a party (room, con, house, event) that people will have fun at and remember. Some of the subjects covered are logistics, choosing and managing space, how to mix a room, security, dealing with authorities (hotel security, the police, etc.), and how to manage a bar, including what to choose and how to pour and mix drinks. Jan created and ran Anime 54, perhaps the most famous (and infamous) series of anime con parties, from 2001 - 2005.

A special pay-to-attend event in the Captain's suite, attendees will receive a guided tasting of several varieties of the pirate's favorite tipple, with tasting notes and complimentary matched finger foods. Learn the difference between silver and spiced, rhum agricole and cachaca, Jamaican and Cuban-style, and uncover the secrets of the vaunted Solera aging method. Then step outside onto the porch for a nice quick cigar to round out the afternoon. Each taster can take home the crystal Glencairn tasting glass they used as a memento of the classiest thing you'll do all weekend.
